Gilbert, AZ -- Mali + Casey Candle Company, a Gilbert, Arizona family-owned business, has donated proceeds from 2022 sales to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T). The company raised $16,724 for T2T, who aims to pay off the mortgages of our veterans, firefighters, and law enforcement killed in the line of duty leaving behind small children. Since launching in April of 2020, Mali + Casey Candle Company has raised more than $41,000 for the Foundation.
The company, owned by Mike and Amy Harris, sells online, at markets throughout the Phoenix area, and various local retailers. They offer seasonal and classic scents hand-poured in small batches from their home office in Gilbert. The candles and melts are 100% all-natural, made from eco-friendly, American grown soy and scented with the best fragrances on the market.
"We’re thrilled to be able to give back to Tunnel to Towers,” said Amy Harris, owner and chandler of Mali + Casey Candle Company. “What we do is more than just selling candles, we’re helping bring awareness to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and their mission of helping our heroes,” she added.
Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Foundation was named for NYC firefighter Stephen Siller, who strapped his gear on his back and ran from Battery Tunnel to the twin towers, ultimately giving up his life saving others. Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, Tunnel to Towers is honoring 40 heroes and helping their families, from veterans who were tragically wounded in combat to law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
