All about cold and hot throws

Updated: Jul 14

When it comes to candle making, two terms chandlers know are cold throw and hot throw.

Cold throw - the scent the candle produces when unlit

Hot throw - the scent the candles produces when lit

Not all fragrance oils are created equal. Some perform better in coconut-soy than others. We test and try all of our candles before we sell them ensuring there is a decent hot throw with all of them. Some of the stronger scents have a strong enough cold throw, that when unlit and the lid is off, still produce a pleasing aroma.
